The Twitch API provides access to a wide range of data, including user info, posts, comments, hashtags, and more. With the API, developers can extract detailed user profiles, post content, engagement metrics, and other valuable data points from the platform. This data is fetched in real-time and therefore has the most up-to-date information. Note that only publicly available data can be accessed through the Twitch API.
To get started, you'll first need to get your free API token, which you can do by signing up on the EnsembleData dashboard here. Once you have your API token, you can check out the Twitch API documentation to figure out which endpoints you need to hit to get the information you're looking for. Under each endpoint in the documentation, you'll find a "Try the API" button which will open a new browser tab with the API url. Replace the token query parameter in the URL with your own API token and reload the page to request the data.
You can get your free API token by signing up on the EnsembleData dashboard here. Once you sign up your token will be automatically generated and presented to you.
